Getting Started
For information on the type of businesses we work with and the type of websites we build, click on About Us.
To get the ball rolling, your first step is to email us and give us an idea of what you need. This may be as simple as a few details about who you are, what you do and how clients can get in touch. But you can send more. Here’s a list of what we need from you to get us started on your new website.
Essential
Your name and your registered business name (if you have one)
A description of your work (what you do)
Your business address and/or the locations you service
Contact details for potential clients (usually an email address and mobile phone number)
Optional Extras
Your business logo (in JPG, PNG or GIF format)
Images (any photos or other images that you would consider using on your site. These would be your own images or images that are free to use)
About you and your business (some background)
How you want the site to “feel” - professional, casual, fun, formal etc.
Site colours (any colours associated with your business or colours you may simply like to see on your site)
Client Testimonials
Portfolio (images) of your work
Links to similar business websites that you like the look of
We can give you options and suggestions on many of the above if you have no personal preference
Tips & Extras
If you are having trouble crafting a good explanation of your work or yourself, just give us the bare essentials and we will write something for your consideration.
Any text on your site should be informative but not too long winded (readers lose interest fast).
If you don’t have your own images, we will try to source some suitable ones for you at no extra cost through Unsplash.com. Additional stock images are also available for purchase if necessary.
Do you already have a registered domain name? If not, do not register one - it will be cheaper for you and easier for us if your domain and site are created under the Squarespace umbrella. Squarespace is the website development and hosting platform that we use to build and run websites.
